The municipal administration organizes a brand new tourism route from the centre of Bourgas, “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” square, through the sea garden, the sea casino to the fore-bridge. Water buses will carry visitors to the st Anastasia island. The buildings in the island will be restored and a guided tour in the museum will be offered. A new modern restaurant will substitute the small snack bar that used to operate on the site.

Sailors from 6 countries will compete in Bulgaria
The 43rd Sailing Championship started in Bourgas yesterday. 200 participants from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey and Moldova marched along the central street in Bourgas.
They will compete in 6 Olympic classes for the next three days.
The guests and residents of Bourgas will be able to observe the competition from the bridge, as the event is taking place close to the central beach.

The seventh yearly manna honey festival kicked off Monday in the southern Bulgarian Black Sea town of Tsarevo.
“Manna” honey is a honey produced by bees not from the nectar of flowers but out of secretions left on leaves by other insects who have eaten on them. It is darker in color, reaching red-brown, and is famous for its nutritional and health qualities and unique taste. Eileen Nischik, who arrived at Burgas Airport on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast 11.12 EET from Cologne, Germany, turned out to be the airport's one-millionth passenger for 2010.
The 23-year-old German comes with her boyfriend Torsten Dormann to spend a week in Black Sea resort town of Obzor.
The lucky traveler and her friend were serviced in the airport's VIP hall and greeted by the airport director Georgi Chipilski in a special ceremony.

Bourgas municipality will install information tables with tourism guide at key positions in the city, announced the head of the municipality direction “Enterprise” Ivelina Strateva.
An administrative map of the respective region will be illustrated on the tables and all of the attractions in Bourgas will be marked on the map.
Except in the city centre, tables will be placed in the resort complexes.

Bulgaria's third Sand Sculpture Festival will be held from the beginning of July until the end of August in the Black Sea city of Bourgas.
The Sand Exhibition's place is the same as last year's – between the tennis courts and horse riding centre, near Park Hotel in the northern part of the Sea Garden Park of Bourgas.
“Circus” is the theme of Sand Sculptures Festival 2010.

The eighth festival of the Strandzha Rhododendron gathered over 700 guests, the festival bears the name of the unique for the region shrub, which blossoms in May and June and was accepted as a symbol of the mountain.
